Why is the car that design?

John Lennon's Rolls Royce was painted in psychedelic colours as a bold statement of the era's vibrant, countercultural spirit. Inspired by the vivid, swirling designs of traditional Romani (gypsy) caravans, Lennon transformed his classic black Phantom into a bright symbol of 1960s creativity and rebellion. The colourful design not only reflected the Beatles' evolving musical style but also mirrored Lennon's own embrace of artistic freedom and nonconformity, making the car a lasting icon of psychedelic rock and the "Summer of Love.”

Our tours are primarily in English but an app is available to download that provides a translation for non-English speakers
